How to get Started
Depending on your library and the population of visually impaired children and young adults you are hoping to serve, what changes you can make to better accommodate this population will vary from other libraries. It is always good to start with the programs and materials that your library already possess to find out where small changes can be made to help start better serving your visually impaired patrons right away. For some it will be buying new materials for these users, and for others it will be small changes to things like programs to help serve the needs of your patron base. The goal is to serve you patrons as best you can, and small changes can make a positive difference for your visually impaired patrons
